BART train pulls into a station. Doors open to a long line of people waiting to get on the overfull BART train -- every seat is taken and every inch of floor space as well. People are jammed in from front to back and side to side. Two women in their early 20s squeeze onto the train . . .
First woman (to no-one in particular): Excuuuuuse me. Can you move? My friend and I are looking for an open seat.
Second woman: What's wrong with people? Why don't they move? They can see that we're looking for a seat.
First woman: I know. People are so stupid.

Sheesh
I just tried to take the dog for a walk and . . . first of all, I had to walk up a hill of snow to get out of our door. So, I got out the shovel and shoveled out a little path through the snow on the porch to the door. The stairs are buried so you just walk straight onto the porch from the yard now.
The dog was out with me and he jumped off the porch into the yard and literally got buried above his head in snow. He's a big dog (75 lbs and tall) and the snow was about two feet over his head. After I shoveled the porch, we went for a walk . . . made it three blocks and had to turn around cuz I couldn't see where we were going. Between the snow falling and the snow being blown off the trees by the wind . . . it was too much.
Now I'm craving a cup of hot chocolate.

Winter finally arrives
