Mt. Baldy

When did "everybody" start shaving their pubic hair? My nephew informed my older brother and me last night that he and his girlfriend both shave their pubes and that EVERYBODY in their high school does as well -- male and female.

I then learned that one of my brothers also shaves his pubes, balls and ass crack, etc. AND he shaves his underarms. Now, this same brother would have totally made fun of anyone who did this 5 or 10 years ago so, what the hell is going on?

When I left my brother's house completely and totally traumatized I called my niece -- daughter and sister of the shavers -- only to find out that she also shaves everything off.

Is this just hicks gone haywire? They live in a suburb and I was thinking that maybe they just misinterpretted what other city folk are doing (trimming and bikini waxing) and took it to an extreme but, I dunno. I know that some folk like to shave but, this appears to be rampant where they live and I'm just thoroughly grossed out.

Am I out of the loop or is this a localized phenomenon?

Random Observations

Driving on the freeway the other day and noticing a car one lane over and slightly ahead of me with the personalized license plate of "CutiePie" being driven by one of the most unattractive women I've ever seen in my life. Not only was she extremely unattractive but she looked extremely unhappy. Maybe it was a borrowed car and she realized the ridiculousness of the situation and so was pissed?

When do Brothers

realize it's gross to walk around in their underwear around their sisters? Mine are in their 40s and have no problem walking around in their tighty-whiteze and their boxers and stand there gabbing away at me. Bleah.
