My Weird Brain

My older brother's middle daughter is getting married in a month. Last weekend we were at my sisters for a BBQ and my niece and her fiance were saying that they were having a tough time deciding what song to dance their first dance to. We talked about a couple of options, everyone made suggestions, etc.

One of my suggestions was "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison and my niece said that she had that song on her list already but her fiancee was worried that it wasn't a slow song. Later we were talking about what song she would dance to with her father and I said, "Well, if you and Dan don't dance to "Brown Eyed Girl" you and your dad could."  and she said, "True, except for that line in the song about making love in the green grass."  I conceded that was a good point (I'd forgotten about that line in the song) and that it would be gross for them to dance to that song but . . . it would be funny to see the looks on people's faces if they did and we all had a pretty good laugh about that.

I've heard that song a couple of times since then and everytime I hear it, I crack up laughing cuz I keep thinking about that conversation and the imaginary scene in my head of them dancing to that song and people's reactions.

And . . . everytime I think about it, it gets funnier and funnier to me. My mind works in strange ways.
