Is "Scrooge" with Albert Finney. I love, love, love this movie.
The movie first came out when I was a weeee little child. A Christmas Carol had always been one of my favorite stories so when this movie came out, my aunt wanted to take me to see it (knowing how much I loved the story).
But, I didn't want to go. I remember being afraid of going (not sure what my tiny little mind thought was going to happen) and put my foot down. I was not going to go and NOBODY was gonna make me. My aunt kept trying to convince me to go by reminding of how much I loved the story, etc. . . . no go.
She kept pushing me and finally I just threw a HUGE tantrum. HUGE. Screaming, crying, throwing myself on the floor, kicking my feet, drumming my fists and bawling my head off. I DON'T WANT TO GOOOOOOOOO!!!!
My aunt finally convinced me to go by telling me she and my sister were going to go and that they'd leave me with my uncle. That was worse than going to see the movie so I went grudgingly -- crying the whole way there. Ten minutes into the movIe I was in love and made her take me five more times.
To this day, it is my FAVORITE all time Xmas movie. Everytime I watch it I get choked up at the end and tap my feet along with the music and it makes me feel joyous and puts me in the holiday spirit. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.
