Date Night p.s.
He was great in bed and . . . thinks I'm beautiful. Whether or not it's true, it's nice to hear. :)
Date Night
So, Friday night I went on a date and . . . it lasted until this morning around 11:30 which . . . is unusual . . . a 40 hour first date but, at my age . . . I'm over the whole "no sex on a first date or you're a slut" thing.
I met him on an online dating site so, I guess I am now officially an online dater. A friend signed me up for the site one night about 3 months ago, cuz she was trying to get me to get out there and date again, and all I've been doing is -- as I receive emails from the site that people looked at my page or sent me a message -- Ctrl-A (to select all) and hitting the delete key.
But, about a week ago I decided to look at a couple just to see who was sending me messages. I read the most recent 10 and he was one of them. I only responded to two: 1) a guy that I didn't have any interest in but who said he was looking for friends and liked the Raiders, so we've exchanged emails about the Raiders; and 2) this guy Greg - he caught my eye because he was tall (I like tall guys), seemed sincere and, in his pics, decent looking.
We exchanged a couple of messages over about 4 or 5 days and then talked on the phone last Thursday. We hit it off really well and ended up talking for 4 hours. He called me on Friday to tell me how much he enjoyed talking with me and we chatted some more and . . . decided to pull the trigger and meet that night.
We decided to go bowling (I was going to get there too late for dinner and bowling) -- he thought bowling was a good idea cuz it's public and you have something to do so you're not just sitting there staring at each other which made sense to me. We met in the parking lot and when he opened my car door and I saw him for the first time I thought, "Uhhh ohhhhhhhh" cuz he was waaaaaay better looking in real life than in his pics. He was hot.
6' 6" . . . brown eyes . . . dark brown skin . . . shaved head . . . thin little moustache . . . nice.
He got in the car and I drove us to the bowling alley. We got out of the car and introduced ourselves and then started walking to the bowling alley and he turned and asked if he could have a "proper hug" so . . . I gave him a big hug. Good hugger, check.
We walked about 10 more feet and he stopped and turned and said, "You know, I really, really want to kiss you." so . . . I let him. AMAZING kisser. Never been kissed like that in my life. H was a great kisser but this guy blew my mind. BLEW my mind. Good kisser, check.
Then, we walked about another 10 feet and we were talking so I was looking up at him and . . . I tripped on a curb and fell down into a big puddle of water (it was raining). Nooottt very cool. Total embarrassed, soaking wet from the hip down. But, he did try to catch me and helped me up after I fell, he was properly attentive, and we continued heading towards the building. Considerate, check.
When we got to the building, there was this little old couple (I'd guess in their late 70s) and they were asking if I was okay and saying not to feel bad because the husband falls down all the time, etc. They were very cute.
We knew that there was a chance we wouldn't be able to get a lane cuz it was Friday night and there's always that league thing but went in to check -- no lanes availble. So, we decided to go play billiards but, same story so . . . we ended up going to a movie instead. The movie was really dumb but, frankly, we didn't watch much of it. Half way through the movie he turned to me and said, "You know, if you wanted . . . you could kidnap me." I told him I'd think about it.
After the movie he asked if I wanted to get some dinner. I told him I wasn't really hungry and it was late so . . . we decided to go back to his place to watch a movie. Aaaaand . . . you can guess the rest. We lasted about . . . 3 minutes before we pretty much abandoned the movie.
We got out of bed around 11:00 a.m. and headed out to my place. Got here and met the cats -- Jack loved him instantly and Scout warmed up to him pretty quick. Kitten test, check.
We hung out then went grocery shopping. Came back to my place and he made me dinner of fried catfish and greens. The fried catfish was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Oh my gawd it was so good. Crunchy, light, crispy, not greasy, perfectly seasoned, etc. Truly one of the best things I've ever eaten. The greens were good too but, ya know, they were greens. Good cook, check.
And . . . he cleaned up after himself in the kitchen. Clean, check.
He even gave me a tip for dealing with the oil from frying. Domestic, check.
We went to bed early -- around 7:00 p.m. last night and watched some tv, talked and . . . stuff.
We got out of bed around 8:00 a.m. this morning and headed towards his place. We stopped so he could wash my car -- it was filthy, he couldn't stand it. Helpful, check.
And then, he wanted to go bowling. So, I agreed and we went to that same bowling alley and got a lane. Everything was fine and good and then I went to throw my first ball. Luckily he wasn't looking cuz, I went to far, hit the actual slippery lane and fell.
Him: I looked away for a second and when I looked back I thought, "What the hell?" cuz you were sliding down the alley, feet first with your arms flung out in front of you and this look on your face like, "Hellllpppp!!!" Funny, check.
So, I haven't fallen once in the last 20 years and fell twice in two days, both in front of him. I was appalled. Truly. Not sure what the heck that is but . . . there ya go. We bowled two games -- he beat me the first game, we tied the second.
After that, I took him home.
We're gonna see each other again tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.
