Miscellanea

So, NG and I have been dating for two months today. It's been interesting and we're basically living together. We're together every single day -- either at my place or his and are thinking of making it official. I realize it's fast but, I'm getting sick of schlepping things over there when I stay there and the schelpping stuff back. I leave a bunch of stuff there -- socks, underwear, grooming products, etc., but some things have to go back and forth with me like my laptop, etc., and . . . it's a pain in the butt. Reminds me too much of living in Tahoe and working in the Bay Area and all that schlepping around.

Just thinking about it, not doing anything yet.

He's a good guy so far. My biggest complaint is . . . food. He is a little bit of a picky eater and while he is always willing to cook for me, etc., he has a limited repertoire of items that he wants to cook and none of them are too healthy -- fried catfish, fried chicken, fried pork chops, baked version of fried chicken, baked pork chops, hamburgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, greens, and red beans and rice. I've been being nice and eating them -- they're all tasty -- but I swear I can feel my arteries hardening.

This morning I got him to eat a piece of fruit (an orange) for the first time, it was a momentous occasion! Well, it wasn't the first time he's eaten an orange, just the first time I've seen him eat a piece of fresh fruit.

I've been super sick for the past 6 weeks. Respiratory issues which I neglected and turned into: bronchitis, bronchial spasms, the start of pneumonia, and sever asthma triggered by the respiratory issues.  I spent last Friday night in the ER undergoing a couple hours of a breathing treatment, a shot in the butt for the pneumonia, pumped full of prednisone and antibiotics. It helped me feel like I could breathe again and they sent me home with more prednisone, more antibiotics, and this inhaler contraption.

Oh, and I have laryngitis too.

I'm on the mend, no longer feel like I'm suffocating. No more fevers. Only very occasionally hacking up disgusting things, etc., but . . . I'm not as well as I wanted to be by now. I stayed home all this week and worked from home but I still feel tired and run down. Gonna try to catch up on sleep and rest this weekend. Hopefully that'll do it.

TTYL.
