Amazing

I think this is the best version of this song that I've ever heard. Four very ugly men who made a beautiful version of Hallelujah.

They all have great voices but the uglier the man, the better the voice.

Aging . . .

Now that I'm in my 40s, I definitely see some physical changes going on. The most notable, in my opinion, is my orgasms. I've always been blessed by being one of those women who can have an orgasm fairly easily (I know women who take forever and some who say they've never had a non-self-induced orgasm - meaning they have never had one brought about by another person) but I've noticed lately that not only can I have them easily, I'd say that they come almost too quickly.

They used to build up and then boom. Now-a-days they've been sneaking up on me -- once I realize I'm starting to build towards one, I'm there and it's done. And the intensity of them is lower than it used to be. Is this a normal aging thing?

Another thing I notice is that I need more sleep. I used to get average 5 hours per night and that was perfect -- anything less and I'm tired, anything more and I would drag all day -- now-a-days, I need 6.

This weekend, I got hooked on House and have watched several episodes and, it's made me paranoid. Most of the commercials are for drugs or pimping aspirin as a heart attack remedy, etc., so when I went grocery shopping tonight most everything I bought was organic and fat free except for the package of Oreos and the chips.

I even bought fat free half-and-half which is a total contradiction. I have no idea how you make fat-free half-and-half which is, by definition, half cream and half milk but I bought it. Which causes me to wrestle with the concept of eating fat vs. eating whatever odd chemicals or oddities are caused by whatever processes they use to create fat-free half-fat dairy products.

I'm also contemplating drinking a glass of red wine daily -- the problem with this is that I am incapable of drinking alone so when I'm down in the bay area, it's not possible. I tried opening a bottle of my favorite red wine the other day to have a glass, thinking this would inspire me, and it sat there untouched until the next day when I threw it away.

H has started smoking again, yuck. I've tried to get him eating healthier as well but it's a constant challenge. The furthest I've gotten is to get him to promise to only buy snack foods that are trans-fat-free, whoo hooo. I kind of think it doesn't matter since he's smoking again, if you're gonna smoke what does it matter if you eat crap?
