So . . . a gal who works for me recently got married in a civil ceremony at City Hall. She took a day off work for it and was back the next day. We had taken up a collection amongst our group and got her a cake, a nice card and a $400 Visa gift card. She didn't open the card at the little cake thing that we had but thanked us for the cake and said she would read the card later (the gift card was inside the card).
This was over a month ago and she hasn't said a word of thanks for the gift card or anything about it and, I kind of want to ask her about it to make sure she actually opened the card and got the gift card but . . . don't know how to go about it.
If she did get it, it seems a little ungrateful to not even acknowledge it. Or am I being weird?
