Let’s get ready to rrrrrruuuuuuummmmbbbbbllllleeeee
In this corner we have H. A 6’ 5” hunk of man weighing in at 225 lbs.
In this corner we have Urban. 5’ 4” of power weighing in at 125 lbs (sometimes 130).
Let me give you a little background on tonight’s contenders. H is a man who loves to sleep buried under enough covers to keep you warm in -100 degrees. H currently has, on his bed, the following bedding: a topsheet; two thick cotton blankets; a down blanket; and a down comforter.
Urban is a woman who prefers to sleep with no covers or, at most, a top sheet and since she shares a bed with H . . . we have tonight’s battle.
DING!
H and Urban enter the bedroom . . . they circle each other, both eyeing the bed . . .
Urban makes the first move by grabbing the comforter and throwing it onto H’s side of the bed . . .
H calmly smooths the comforter down over his side of the bed . . .
Urban grabs the down blanket!! She throws it onto H’s side of the bed!!! A bold move but . . . one she is skilled at . . .
H doesn’t flinch. He accepts the cover and strips down to his underwear . . .
Urban puts on her pjs and climbs up onto the bed . . .
H climbs into bed under the massive layer of bedding and rolls over onto his side . . .
Urban throws the two blankets over onto H as well and climbs under the topsheet.
H doesn’t move . . .
Soon they’re both snoring away . . .
But wait! H is making his big move! He wakes up and sees Urban has kicked off the top sheet and throws the two cotton and one down blanket over her!!! Urban is sleeping and does not yet realize what the evil H has done . . .
A little while later Urban wakes up sweating like a pig, sees what H has done and performs a reverse blanket flip . . . she cools off and falls back asleep . . .
H wakes up and sees Urban without covers and throws the entire collection of bedding over her . . . the crowd goes wild . . .
Again Urban wakes up sweating and sees what H has done . . . this time she kicks all of the covers off of her and to the bottom of the bed causing them to expose H’s torso!!!
H wakes up cold and pulls the covers back up over him and covering part of Urban in the process!!! Where will this lead??
Urban wakes up sweating, again, and throws all of the covers off the bed leaving only the topsheet on both her and H!!!
H wakes up cold and pulls the covers back up onto the bed and over them both . . .
Urban wakes up sweating and crawls out of the covers and lies on top!
H wakes up and sees Urban without covers and flips the comforter over her to keep her warm!
Urban wakes up and yells, “STOP IT!!! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT I HATE COVERS AND TO STOP COVERING ME?!?!?!?”
H responds that she looked cold.
They both go back to sleep. H under all the bedding, Urban on top of the bedding and sleep for the rest of the night.

The History of Love by Nicole Krauss
This was a recommendation by Tree and I am happy to say that I enjoyed this book. I would give it a solid 4 USGs.
No gratuitous schlock. Made me laugh out loud quite often. Slightly quirky. I have to say that I was very disappointed to find out that Gurski’s friend stole his book but . . . such is life, I suppose.
All in all, I would recommend this book. A woman that I work with and I were talking about the book and she said that she had a problem with it at first because she didn’t realize there were several characters all speaking in the first person in various parts of the book so she was confused about the book jumping around. For me, with an audio book, it was much easier as they used different voices for each character so I was instantly able to recognize that it was a new character. Just a head’s up if you’re thinking of reading the book.
