Yay! Got the audiobooks to work on my iPod. So, here's the current list of books I've bought an are in line to be listened to:
Lay of the Land by Richard Ford (2/3 finished with this)
The History of Love by Nicole Krauss
Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim by David Sedaris
Books I'm contemplating:
March by Geraldine Brooks
Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
Any recommendations or endorsements or reviews would be appreciated.
Thanks!

The dark side
As much as I'm enjoying my audiobooks, I got sick of changing CDs while driving and finally succumbed to the forces of the dark side and bought an iPod today. It's an 80 GB one and should hold everything I need
The sad part is, I got home and plugged everything in and . . . it's not compatible with audible.com. Grrrrrr . . . but, I can import (supposedly) my books into iTunes and then load them to the iPod.
I'll keep you posted.

Workin' for the man
So, I got two calls for jobs this week, both from former bosses. Both unsolicited. Both tempting. Both would allow me to work from home full time which I like and which would allow me to spend more time with H and the kits.
One is offering $30K more per year and involves travel to the UK. The other we didn't discuss money and any travel would be domestic.
I don't really want to leave where I am because I'm tired of moving around but . . . there is a fair bit of weirdness going on where I am that I would like to get away from so . . . I'm going to talk with them to find out more about the jobs.
