Book Review: A Thousand Splendid Suns

Loved it, loved it, loved it. 4 USGs. It's hard to stomach a lot of this story, the treatment of women is sickening but, this guy's a great writer.

Book Review: The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

I give this 4 USGs. I loved it. I even got my teenage nephew hooked on it during our drive to Tahoe. He was blaring his iPod with his earphones on for the first part of the drive but he took them off to ask me a question and started listening and ended up turning off his iPod altogether.

I did the audiobook and it was read by the author and was very good. The main character is really a rather despicable person but I liked the book in spite of him. I have to admit, I liked the references to the Bay Area and all were accurate (does Hosseini live in this area?).

I won't write too much about it cuz I don't want to spoil it for anyone who might read it but, I highly recommend this book.
