Friday was a totally wasted day. Complete and utter waste of my time. Basically sat in a room listening to people arguing about things that they should have resolved LOOOOOOONG before I got there. I was supposed to be done and out of there by 2:00 p.m. but didn’t get out until 5:30 p.m. so I missed my flight, had to reschedule and the only thing they could get me on was the last flight of the day. Fun! I just love sitting in an airport for hours and hours with nothing to do but wait to get on a plane. Yippeee! Fuuuuun! Yay for me!!

I finally got home around midnight and was so tired (I’d gotten up at 4:45 a.m. and had gotten about 3 hours of sleep) I just went straight to bed. I woke up around 5:30 a.m. and did some work until around 9:00 and then my friend Pam picked me up and we went to get her eyebrows waxed (she was waxed, I just waited). After that we went to breakfast where I proceeded to order huevos rancheros and a blueberry pancake to split. I ate half my huevos (but both eggs) and half the pancake and I felt like I was gonna puke but it was goooooood. After breakfast, we went to a frame shop and picked out frames for things we each wanted to frame. From there it was off to Costco for some stuff. And after that we hit the pet store.

Done with shopping and errands, we went back to her house and hung out. Around 6:30 we decided to go to dinner. The restaurant was packed so we put in our names and then walked across the street to a bookstore where I got Christopher Moore’s new (I think) book called “You Suck” and an audio book of “The Mermaid Chair” cuz Pam had read “Secret Life of Bees” and loved it and this book on CD (unabridged) was only $9.00.

We walked back to the restaurant, went up to the podium to find out where we were on the list and the hostess said, “I was just going to call you, right this way” which I thought was very fortuitous. We ate dinner and then ordered dessert to go and went back to her house and ate our dessert (I had ordered cheesecake and only ate half of it) while watching “The Illusionist” (based on the recommendation of one of the guys who works for me) and it looked interesting but, truth be told, I kept falling asleep cuz I was still pretty tired.

I ended up conking out on her couch and slept on through to 8:00 this morning (a full 8 hours which, for me, is amazing) then got up, went pee, and headed out. Went back to my place to pick up a couple of things and then drove up to Tahoe where I am now.

Got here, put out a work-fire, and then H and I went for a long hike. We got home, took a nap, and then H made dinner . . . hot dogs and macaroni and cheese. :- I had one hot dog and one helping of mac-and-cheese. After I finish publishing this post I’m going to decide whether to do some work that I have to do tonight, or hang out and just get up reeeeeeally early in the morning and do it then.
